Master Chefs, LLC Issues Seal Of Excellence To Nextra Cooking Oil

Beacon, NY June 4, 2004 -- Master Chefs, LLC a team of Master Chefs and culinary leaders, today announced that Nextra, a premium quality cooking oil for the food service industry produced by Source Food Technology has qualified for its Seal of Excellence.

"In the majority of cases Nextra outperformed the competitive samples," Master Chef and Managing Partner Ferdinand Metz, said. "The product rated high on flavor and low in fat absorption, two critical components for a nutritionally advanced cooking oil like Nextra.

The Master Chef, LLC team put Nextra through more than one hundred and thirty tests and experiments and also compared it to a control group of five competitive cooking oils. The blind testing process, performed by a panel of Master Chefs, focused on the functional, qualitative and organoleptic product properties of the cooking oil. The results and recommendations are summarized in an extensive report, which will be shared with Source Food Technology.

The Master Chefs, LLC Seal of Excellence was designed to evaluate and test food, equipment and beverage products and to recognize those which have achieved the Master Chefs, LLC level of quality. If a product meets the Master Chefs, LLC standard, the Seal of Excellence can be displayed in product advertising.

The Master Chefs, LLC team has won many international awards. They have more than 190 years combined foodservice experience and the highest level of culinary credentials. There are fewer than 80 Master Chefs in the United States.

Ferdinand Metz will present Hank Cardello, CEO of Source Food Technology with a plaque of the Seal of Excellence at the 85th Annual National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show in Chicago on May 24th at 11 am CDT in The Source Food Technology booth, number #7366 and #7368.
