Radius Restaurant of Boston Offers Winter Cooking Series


Boston, MA - Radius Restaurant announces the Radius Winter Cooking Series beginning on Saturday, January 25, 2003. These winter cooking classes are also a wonderful gift for the chef in your life. Join Executive Chef Michael Schlow, Chef de Cuisine Gabriel Frasca, Sous Chef Brian Reimer and Wine Steward Scott Fraley for the Radius Winter Cooking Series. Since the opening of Radius in 1999, Chef Michael Schlow has received numerous accolades for his modern French cuisine including the James Beard Foundation Award for "Best Chef in the Northeast 2000" and Sante* Magazine's "Wine and Spirits Chef of the Year 2000." In addition, Radius has been named one of the "Best American Restaurants" of 2001 and 2002 by Gourmet Magazine and "Best New Restaurant in 2000" by Food & Wine Magazine.

Saturday, January 25, 2003 the series begins with "Regional French Cooking" Have you always thought Paris was the heart of French cooking? Radius Sous Chef Brian Reimer finds its soul lives in Lyon - the home of Chapel, Bocuse, Troisgros and the famed Bresse chickens. Scott Fraley presents the wines (Crozes Hermitage, Cote Rotie and Chateaunuef-de-Pape) that make a bad meal in Lyon a misnomer.

On Saturday, February 8, 2003, join Chef de Cuisine Gabriel Frasca and Food & Wine's best new chef Amanda Lydon for "The Couple That Cooks Together" and learn Valentine's Day recipes to prepare a romantic dinner for two.

"How to Buy, Butcher And Cook Fish" is the theme of class on Saturday, March 8, 2003. Learn the secret of perfect fish cookery from James Beard Award winning Executive Chef Michael Schlow.

The Radius Winter Cooking Series ends appropriately with "It's a Piece of Cake" on Saturday, March 29, 2003. Discover simple techniques and tricks that make display case-worthy cakes easy to make at home.

All classes take place in the kitchen of Radius Restaurant and begin at 11:00 AM and end at 2:30 PM. Cost per class is $125 per person. A package of all four classes is $425.00 per person.
