Maria Liberati, International Supermodel, Italian cookbook author wil be a guest instructor for a class called- Beautiful, Simple Italian cooking.


New Hope, PA July 29, 2004 -- Supermodel, Maria Liberati, who is also regularly regarded as an expert on Italian Cooking will be a guest instructor for 2 exciting new classes at the New Hope Solebury Community School in New Hope, PA starting in September 2004.

The first Course - BASIC ITALIAN COOKING - begins on Wednesday, Sept. 19th to Oct 12th (4 consecutive Wednesdays) from 6:30-9:30 PM. Students will learn what makes Italian cooking an art- the ingredients, preparing and presenting a full course Italian meal.

The second course- Christmas in Italy - will begin on October 26th-Nov 19th (4 consecutive Wednesdays) :30-9:30 PM. Students will learn how to prepare some of the traditional Italian meals for the holidays as well as learn about Italian Holiday traditions.

Each course is $79 plus a $25 fee for foods supplied.

Maria, a professed devotee of italian food, studied cooking Italian cooking technique while in Italy for business. She has visited many of Italy's 'agriturismo' (the Italian counterpart of American bed & breakfasts')- which tend to be located at italian farms and the food served is cooked fresh by the hosts everyday. While modeling in italy she also has had the opportunity to visit some of Italy's most famous 'pasticcerie' (bakeries), restaurants, trattorias, 'gelaterie'(ice cream bars) and has collected recipes and cooking techniques that she is well known for.

Italy is well known for its' style and fashion as well as its' food. Maria is currently working on a cookbook "THE FASHION OF FOOD" that combines Italian cooking with style- since presentation is just as important as the food in Italian cooking.

Maria, spends about 3-6 months a year in Italy for business but also because of her fiancee who is a well known Italian Architect and lives and works in Rome, Italy.
