Homeless Dogs to Receive Free Grooming
New York, NY June 7, 2004 -- A few lucky dogs awaiting adoption at the Humane Society will be looking better for their perspective new parents as a result of an on going training program. On Wednesday June 9th, 2004 from 3-6pm, Tomy Maugeri Dog Salons will be conducting a professional workshop for their staff to improve and enhance their skills. The young staff participants learn hands on skills while providing free grooming for some of
New York's homeless animals.
The workshop will take place at 450 East 81st Street, in Manhattan. " We love these events because it helps raise awareness of the needs of homeless animals and allows our pet care professionals to improve performance and focus." said Tomy Maugeri.

Tomy Maugeri was born in Brooklyn. Tomy worked four years as a vet tech before deciding to become a groomer. He is a 1992 graduate of the New York School of Dog Grooming. He has been grooming for more than 12 years. He has groomed celebrity pets both in the United States and in Rome, Italy. He has two shops in Manhattan, one on the Upper East Side and one on the Upper West Side. Today, he is considered one of the best groomers in the country.
