FREE PUPCAKE DAY THREE DOG BAKERY UNLEASHES FIRST NATIONAL ‘HOWLIDAY' FOR DOGS; THOUSANDS OF TREATS TO BE GIVEN AWAY DURING ‘FREE PUPCAKE DAY'
SEATTLE, WA. June 4, 2003 – ARRFificials and top dogs (Mocha, Chuck & Una) here at Three Dog Bakery, the bakery for dogs, today declared a national HOWLiday for dogs. Friday, June 27th will be "Free PupCake Day," in celebration of dogs everywhere. On that day, Three Dog Bakeries across the nation, including Seattle's Three Dog Bakery across from Pike's Public Market, will give a free PupCake to every customer, with no pawchase required. Thousands of all-natural, fresh-baked PupCakes will be given away on that day. "This is our version of a customer appreciation event," said Three Dog Bakery Owner Randy Randolph. "It's simply another way for us to celebrate the dogs in our community, and to thank them – and their owners/guardians – for letting us be a part of their lives," said Randolph.
In addition to giving away thousands of PupCakes on June 27th, Three Dog Bakery in Seattle will be holding a fundraiser for Seattle Animal Shelter's Help the Animal Fund. All donations will go directly to the care and feeding of animals.
PupCakes are fresh-baked on site at the bakeries, produced with whole wheat flour and decorated with a luscious honey-flavored icing. They look and smell like cup cakes for humans, except they contain no sugar, salt, chocolate, or artificial food colorings or preservatives. All natural and wholesome - just like dogs!
