ASI Electronics Unveils New Name: Microcom Technologies

Calabasas, California, USA: The Board of Directors of ASI Electronics, Inc., announced today that their corporate name has been changed to Microcom Technologies, Inc. "The name change is a result of our burgeoning growth in the worldwide communications marketplace," said David Golob, president of Microcom Technologies.

Microcom Technologies customers can expect the same quality of service and dedicated account teams or customer service representatives as previously contacted via computer, telephone or mail. Although the company will have new signs, business cards, stationery, and sales literature, its products and services will remain unchanged. The new look and name will begin to appear on business operations in October 2000, with worldwide implementation continuing into 2001.

Microcom Technologies is a leading international provider of fiber optics, wire, cable and related connectivity products for voice, data, and wireless needs, security and alarm systems and cable television products. In addition to traditional distributed products, Microcom Technologies also markets proprietary products under its own brand name.

In the repair and maintenance arena, Microcom Technologies supplies original parts and supplies for all major brands of communications and transportation equipment, whether from European, USA or Japanese origin. From transistors to batteries to circuit boards, Microcom Technologies offers a wide variety of both obsolete and current technology components.
